Our riding instructor, Val Travis, has taken formal riding lessons since she was 10.  In 1985 she began training horses and teaching riding full time.  Her focus is teaching self-confidence and self-sufficiency - all while learning basic horsemanship and how to ride!   During non-camp weeks, Val gives private lessons (Western and English) to children as well as adults. Own your own horse? Val offers horse training to help you achieve what you are wanting to do with your animal. Val attempts to narrow the gap of communication between you and your horse so you'll both have a satisfying riding experience. Would you like to own a horse?
